My best friend bought a new guitar, just to practice a little. And I asked him to lend it to me so I could change a few things.
Among minor modifications such as new piguard, I setted it properly (both bridge, tremolo and some very smooth sanding in the nut) and also modified the original wiring like David's black strat.
Sounds pretty good. Feels very good.
I named it:
THE GILMOUR SPECIAL

I met Steve Morse. My life is now complete.
I've been a fan for years but I specially loved the Steve Morse era (86 - 88) and didn't really care for the first 3 albums but I started listening to them and they're full of amazing songs! OMFG, they're so great.
They're all so good. Specially Steve and Phil. So talented! I don't really love Kerry and Rich tho, but they're still good players!
Long live Kansassssssssssssssssssssssss :R:R:R:R:R

Kansas from left to right:
Phil Ehart - Drums
Robby Steinhardt - Violin, backing vocals
Kerry Livgren - Guitar & keyboards
Rick Williams - Guitar
Steve Walsh - Lead vocals & keyboards

I just gave up on guitar.
Wanna know why? There are a few reasons:
First of all, I don't find it fun anymore. I don't like how I play and I can't seem to improve that, there's always something I don't like and it becomes the most annoying thind in the world.
Second, there are just too many guitar players... all doing the same boring shit. Nowadays there are lots and lots of awesome advanced players thanks to several years of technique development... but they sound all the same. I don't wanna become one of those because it's not my thing.
Third: Intonation. Damn, fucking intonation gives me the creeps. I can't stand playing acoustic guitars because they seem to sound always slightly out of tune even if they're "tuned". Electric guitars seem to be more in tune but chords are impossible to play. They just sound wrong. you can't play chords. I spend like 30 minutes tuning my guitar because I can't tune the damn thing, it always sounds out of tune. It's not the guitar, it's been happening to me with every guitar I play. You'd think "A CHEAP GUITAR MAY BE OUT OF TUNE AND HAVE INTONATION PROBLEMS BUT A HIGH QUALITY GUITAR SHOULD BE GREAT" but it's not true. From a cheap $100 electric guitar to an Ibanez RG or even a Fender Strat, I have always had problems tuning them. ELECTRONIC TUNERS ARE FUCKING USELESS.
So I decided to give up on guitar and play the piano. I've always wanted to play the piano. It's just that I never practiced properly but now I will. A piano tuned properly sounds good enough for me, not like fucking guitars. And playing the piano makes me feel good inside, somewhat happy. It's a whole different universe which I find interesting enough to give it a try.
I shall play the piano and maybe discover what the fuck I really would like to do with my music and myself.

my new band essssssa
